Our Vote, Our Voice, Our Victory

A charge to every Black woman entrepreneur: show up.

Our Vote, Our Voice, Our Victory

The Most Reliable Bloc

Let us start with the data: Black women vote at the highest rate of any demographic group in America. We are the backbone of democracy. We show up. We turn out. We carry the franchise on our backs.

But here is the hard truth: our turnout has not translated into proportional representation or policy power. We vote, and then we are taken for granted. That must change.

From Turnout to Power

Showing up is the floor, not the ceiling. After we vote, we must:

  • Hold elected officials accountable for the promises they made to our communities.
  • Run for office ourselves—on school boards, city councils, and state legislatures.
  • Build institutions that sustain our political power between election cycles.

Our vote is our voice. But our voice must be followed by our presence, our persistence, and our power. Let us not just show up. Let us win.
